Welcome From John

Welcome to our District 1. Representing our diverse community is a great privilege for me. I'm committed to making county government effective and innovative, while maintaining critical services and protecting our role as the safety net for our most vulnerable residents. I've worked hard, alongside many others, to fight for access to quality health care, environmental justice, better air quality, youth services, violence prevention, and reducing poverty.

Your ideas make us stronger, and I always want to hear them.

I grew up in West County and have been honored to serve on the Board of Supervisors since 1999.

District One includes the cities of Richmond, San Pablo, El Cerrito, part of Pinole, and the unincorporated communities of East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, Kensington, Montalvin Manor, Tara Hills, North Richmond, and Rollingwood. (District Map and County's GIS mapping tool.)
